This Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduces amendments to the regulatory framework governing the appearance and equipment of police officers. The document officially introduces a new element of the uniform — an identification badge. It has clearly defined technical specifications, dimensions, and information content required for the identification of a law enforcement officer.
**Structure and Main Provisions:**
The Resolution supplements the current description of police uniform items (approved by Resolution No. 823 of 2015) with a new section, “Identification Badge.” The amendment establishes detailed requirements for the material (food-grade stainless steel), shape (45×26 mm rectangle), method of wearing, and the content of the information engraved on the item. Compared to the previous version, this innovation standardizes the use of the identification badge as a mandatory element of equipment.
**Important Provisions for Use:**
1. **Information Content:** The badge contains the police officer’s individual number, the inscriptions “Ukraine” and “National Police,” as well as data on blood type and Rh factor. This information is duplicated on both sides of the badge.
2. **Design Features:** The badge has a perforation line in the middle, which allows it to be broken in half if necessary.
3. **Record Keeping:** Upon an officer’s discharge from the National Police, the badge is not disposed of but must be stored in the officer’s archival personnel file.
4. **Technical Standards:** The document clearly regulates font sizes, engraving depth, and the diameter of the mounting hole, ensuring a uniform manufacturing standard for all units.
