On Amendments to the Regulation on the Recruitment Center for Foreigners and Stateless Persons

Essence of Changes:
The resolution changes the subordination and work procedure of the Recruitment Center for Foreigners and Stateless Persons. The Center transitions to direct subordination to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine instead of the Armed Forces. The terms of candidate verification and initial interview procedure are also optimized.

Structure and Main Provisions:
1. Subordination has been changed – now the Center is directly subordinate to the Ministry of Defense through the Deputy Minister of Defense
2. Subordination to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the General Staff has been eliminated
3. Candidate verification procedure has been modified – a term of up to 15 days (maximum one month) has been established
4. The possibility of conducting an initial interview in a video conference format has been added
5. The procedure for foreigners’ appeals through territorial recruitment centers has been regulated

Key Provisions for Application:
– Territorial recruitment centers and military units can independently conduct initial screening and interview with candidates
– A conclusion regarding the candidate must be sent to the Recruitment Center within 3 days
– Initial candidate verification has been reduced to 15 days
– Interview can be conducted remotely via video conference
– The Center’s staff schedule is approved by the Ministry of Defense
