### **On changes in the composition of territorial election commissions that prepare and conduct local elections**
This resolution of the Central Election Commission (CEC) introduces changes to the composition of certain territorial election commissions (TECs) that prepare and conduct local elections. The changes concern the replacement of commission members based on submissions from local organizations of political parties, as well as the inclusion of a new member in the Berestynska City TEC in the Kharkiv region. In addition, the resolution considers the issue of termination of powers of the chairman of the Nikopol City TEC in the Dnipropetrovsk region based on his personal application.
The structure of the resolution includes a preamble with the justification for the changes, references to legislative norms (the Electoral Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Political Parties in Ukraine”, etc.), and an operative part, which lists specific changes to the composition of the TEC (appendices 1, 2), as well as obligations for the TEC to inform citizens and send copies of the resolution to interested parties.
The most important provision is the decision to terminate the powers of the chairman of the Nikopol City TEC, taking into account his application and the ban on the activities of the political party from which he was nominated. The CEC decided to dismiss him from office in order to ensure his rights and freedoms, as well as to comply with the principles of the electoral process. Also important is the introduction of changes to the composition of other TECs in accordance with the submissions of local organizations of political parties, which ensures their participation in the electoral process.
