It determines the value of one troy ounce of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium in hryvnias. The structure of the announcement is simple: it contains a table with codes, names of banking metals, and their accounting prices per troy ounce. The announcement clearly states that the NBU is not obliged to buy or sell these metals at these prices.

The most important thing to understand when using this announcement is that the accounting prices set by the NBU are indicative and not a fixed rate for the purchase and sale of banking metals.
