Legislative Changes Digest:
1. The General Inspector of the Ministry of Defense has been set monetary provision at the level of a Commander of a type of Armed Forces. This raises the status of the position and guarantees an appropriate level of compensation.
2. 1.66 billion UAH of subventions have been allocated to local budgets for medical infrastructure. Funds are directed to construction of rehabilitation corps for veterans, reconstruction of infectious disease departments, and development of psychiatric care.
3. A unified system for assessing building accessibility for people with disabilities has been introduced. Assessment will be conducted annually from June 1 to August 31, with results being public and displayed on maps.
4. A new mechanism for calculating expenses on improved nutrition for servicemembers during treatment has been established. A formula for calculating monthly payment amount and maximum expenditure limits per bed-day has been introduced.
5. Two new interregional offices of the State Service for Quality of Education have been created – Southern and South-Eastern, by merging existing regional offices.
6. Opportunities for providing medical assistance through telemedicine have been expanded, including primary, palliative, and emergency care. Medical institutions are obliged to inform patients about the availability of telemedicine services.
7. New standard regulations for developing staff schedules for military educational institutions have been approved, including teacher-to-cadet ratios and management structure.
