Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Approves New Version of the Regulation on Psychological Support in the National Guard of Ukraine. The document defines the system of psychological support for National Guard servicemembers, including prevention, diagnostics, and rehabilitation of psychological traumas, especially in combat conditions. The Regulation also regulates the work of the National Guard’s psychological service and interaction between various units.
Structurally, the document consists of 8 sections covering: general provisions, organizational structure of the psychological service, professional-psychological selection, psychological study of servicemembers, professional-psychological training, psychological support, psychoprophylaxis and rehabilitation, and specific work features during a special period.
Key innovations include: detailed regulation of combat stress control groups, implementation of a peer-to-peer consultant institute, clear definition of psychological decompression and post-combat rehabilitation procedures, introduction of the concept of psychological resilience. Special attention is paid to psychological support in combat conditions and work with servicemembers who have sustained combat-related mental traumas.
