On amendments to the composition of the Interdepartmental Coordination Commission on Regional Development

распоряжение № 595-р dated June 17, 2026, is aimed at updating the personal and institutional composition of the Interdepartmental Coordination Commission on Regional Development. The document streamlines the representation of public authorities and engages key associations of local self-government bodies in the commission’s work. These changes ensure broader involvement of community representatives in decision-making processes regarding regional policy.

    **Structure and main changes:**
The act consists of a preamble and an annex containing a list of amendments to the composition of the commission, which was approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 714 dated September 16, 2015. The main changes involve the exclusion of the position of State Secretary of the Ministry of Development and the expansion of the commission’s composition to include new entities. Specifically, representatives of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (NAUCS), the State Statistics Service, and the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) have been included in the commission, along with the heads of four leading all-Ukrainian associations of local self-government bodies.

    **Important provisions:**
The most significant aspect is the involvement of representatives of the “Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils,” the “All-Ukrainian Association of Communities,” the “Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities,” and the “Association of Ukrainian Cities” in the commission’s work. The participation of representatives of these associations is subject to their consent, which strengthens the commission’s institutional capacity to take into account the interests of local self-government when shaping regional policy. Also important is the inclusion of an NACP representative, which indicates a strengthening of anti-corruption oversight within the framework of the commission’s activities.
