This Decree of the President of Ukraine puts into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDCU) regarding the establishment of the Interdepartmental Commission on Military-Industrial Policy and Defense Technologies. In fact, the Decree legitimizes and puts into effect the decision of the NSDCU, making it binding. Control over execution is assigned to the Secretary of the NSDCU.
The structure of the Decree is very simple: it consists of three points – putting the NSDCU decision into effect, assigning control over execution, and determining the date of entry into force. The NSDCU decision, which is an annex to the Decree, probably contains more detailed information about the composition, tasks, and powers of the Interdepartmental Commission.
The most important provision is the putting into effect of the NSDCU decision, as it creates the legal basis for the activities of the Interdepartmental Commission. The Decree itself does not contain any other important details, as it is only a tool for implementing the NSDCU decision.
