1. **Essence of the Law:**
Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 410 dated March 6, 2025, amends the State Medical and Sanitary Norms for the permissible content of chemical substances in the air of the working area. These changes concern the addition of new chemical substances to the list, as well as the updating of standards for some existing substances. The order is aimed at ensuring safe working conditions and protecting the health of workers.
2. **Structure and main provisions:**
The order consists of two parts: the main part, which approves the changes to the norms, and the annex, which contains a list of these changes. Changes are made by adding new lines with information about chemical substances (name, synonyms, CAS number, standard, hazard class, etc.) to the table of standards. Also, some existing lines were changed (for example, for isopropyl alcohol and propyl alcohol). Temporary standards are introduced for a period of 2 years.
3. **Main provisions for use:**
The most important is the list of new chemical substances added to the standards, and changes in the standards for existing substances. Employers and occupational safety professionals need to take these changes into account when conducting measurements and risk assessments in the workplace.
