The essence of the changes lies in expanding the powers of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the areas of cybersecurity, medical support, and standardization in accordance with NATO standards. The resolution amends paragraph 4 of the Regulation on the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, adding new and clarifying existing powers of the agency.
Structurally, the changes relate to four main areas:
1. New powers have been added regarding the development and approval of security profiles for information systems
2. Powers for approving medical support standards based on NATO standards have been clarified
3. Provisions regarding medical examinations of military personnel have been updated
4. Powers in the field of cybersecurity and international cooperation with NATO have been expanded
Key innovations:
– The Ministry of Defense receives the right to approve sectoral and targeted security profiles for its own systems and Armed Forces systems
– NATO standards for tactical pre-hospital care and medical equipment are being implemented
– Powers in the field of cyber defense and cooperation with NATO regarding countering cyber threats are expanded
– The procedure for conducting medical examinations of military personnel in coordination with the Ministry of Health is clarified
