Essence of the Act:
The Order of the Ministry of Finance cancels a number of outdated orders of the State Customs Service regarding customs control and clearance of vehicles moved by citizens across the customs border of Ukraine. This is done to bring the regulatory framework in line with the updated Customs Code of Ukraine and implement the provisions of the EU Customs Code.

Structure and Main Provisions:
1. The basic order from 2005 on the Rules of Customs Control of Citizens’ Vehicles is canceled
2. 4 orders amending these Rules (from 2006-2009) are canceled
3. The procedure for publication and entry into force of the order is determined

Important Aspects:
– The order is part of a larger reform of customs legislation to harmonize it with European standards
– Cancellation of old acts clears the legal field for new rules of vehicle customs clearance in accordance with EU standards
– The order is coordinated with all key agencies involved in border control and security
– Supervision of implementation is assigned to the relevant deputy minister for European integration and the head of the State Customs Service
