On Approval of Criteria for Identifying Enterprises, Institutions, and Organizations of Significant Importance for the National Economy Sector in the Field of Nuclear Energy Use Safety

This order establishes criteria for identifying enterprises, institutions, and organizations of strategic importance in the field of nuclear safety in Ukraine. The document is part of the national security system in the nuclear sector.

Structurally, the order consists of two parts: an administrative section and an appendix with criteria. It replaces the previous order from May 2023 and introduces updated criteria for determining important nuclear industry enterprises.

Main provisions:
1. Three key criteria have been established for determining the importance of enterprises:
– Being under the management of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate
– Employee salary level (not less than 150% of the national average)
– Conducting critically important activities in the field of nuclear safety

2. To be recognized as important, an enterprise must meet at least two of the three criteria.

3. Special attention is paid to enterprises whose absence could lead to violations of nuclear and radiation safety requirements, physical protection of nuclear facilities and materials.

Note: The order is directly related to ensuring the state’s defense capability, as it concerns critical infrastructure and has been coordinated with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
