This order concerns the procedure for acquiring Ukrainian citizenship and is related to military service.
Essence of the order:
The document approves new forms of declarations on renunciation of foreign citizenship for various categories of persons wishing to obtain Ukrainian citizenship. Special attention is paid to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, State Special Communications Service, their families, as well as refugees and persons with special merits before Ukraine.
Structure and main provisions:
– 9 different forms of declarations on renunciation of foreign citizenship have been approved
– A separate form of commitment to pass exams on the Constitution, history of Ukraine, and Ukrainian language has been approved
– The previous order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 989 dated 28.12.2021 has been canceled
– The order takes effect from the day of official publication
