The essence of the decree is to amend the list of military positions that require approval from the President of Ukraine. The decree updates the names of some positions and adds a new position to the list.
Structurally, the decree contains two points, where the first introduces three changes to the previous decree:
1. Changes the position title from “chief inspector” to “general inspector” of the Ministry of Defense
2. Adds a new position of “corps commanders”
3. Changes the title of the military university head, removing “named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi” from the name
Key provisions for practical application:
– The list of military positions requiring presidential approval has been expanded
– Corps commanders are now appointed only after approval by the President
– Official titles of senior military leadership have been updated according to new designations
– The decree takes effect from the day of publication
