Changes in Public Investment Management

An Interdepartmental Working Group has been established under the Cabinet of Ministers to coordinate actions of government authorities and international financial organizations regarding public investment projects. The group includes representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, and other agencies. The group has the right to obtain information from government authorities and involve experts.

Changes Regarding Defense Lands

Amendments have been made to the Procedure for Maintaining the State Land Cadastre. A prohibition has been established on further changing the intended purpose of defense lands obtained from particularly valuable lands. Access to cadastral data has been expanded for prosecution and pre-trial investigation bodies.

Update of Notarial Record-Keeping Rules

Requirements for electronic document processing, document retention periods, and work procedures during martial law have been modified. Procedures for forming inheritance cases have been detailed, and the standard nomenclature of notaries’ cases has been updated.

Changes in NBU’s Off-Site Supervision

The National Bank of Ukraine has updated the procedure for off-site supervision of non-banking financial institutions. A clear procedure for recording violations, notification of administrative proceedings, and a mechanism for reviewing the NBU’s professional judgment have been established.

On the Accounting Price of Banking Metals

This is a daily notification by the National Bank of Ukraine establishing accounting prices for banking metals (gold, silver, platinum, and palladium) as of 13.01.2025. The notification structure includes a table with metal codes (numeric and literal), measurement unit (troy ounce), and accounting price in hryvnias for each metal. It is important to note that these prices are reference and do not create obligations for the NBU to buy or sell metals at the specified prices.

– Gold (XAU): 113,272.76 UAH per ounce
– Silver (XAG): 1,283.03 UAH per ounce
– Platinum (XPT): 40,777.52 UAH per ounce
– Palladium (XPD): 40,246.43 UAH per ounce

On the Official Exchange Rate of Hryvnia to Foreign Currencies

This is a daily notification by the National Bank of Ukraine establishing the official exchange rate of hryvnia to 35 foreign currencies as of 13.01.2025. The document contains a table with currency rates, where for each currency its numeric and literal code, number of units, full name, and official rate relative to hryvnia are indicated. Among the main currencies: US Dollar – 42.2841 UAH, Euro – 43.5738 UAH, British Pound – 52.0771 UAH.

It is important to note that these rates are used for accounting purposes, for NBU operations with the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, and in other cases specified by law. The NBU does not undertake obligations to buy and sell currencies at these rates.

On Directing a Deputy Inquiry by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Bakunets P.A. to the President of Ukraine
