Resolution establishes requirements for mandatory English language proficiency for officers, sergeants, and warrant officers in certain positions across various military formations of Ukraine. The document approves lists of positions and necessary English language levels for seven military structures: Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces, State Special Transport Service, State Guard Department, Security Service of Ukraine, Foreign Intelligence Service, State Special Communications Service, and State Border Guard Service/National Guard. For each position, the required language proficiency level is determined according to the European scale (from A2 to C1) and NATO STANAG 6001 standard.
Key provisions:
• For senior command staff of the Armed Forces, the level is set at no lower than B1/SLP 2
• For most leadership positions in other structures – level no lower than A2/SLP 1
• Highest requirements (C1/SLP 2+) are established for translators
• The resolution takes effect 4 years after the termination of martial law
