Resolution introduces an experimental project to provide assistance to combat veterans and persons with disabilities resulting from war for physical culture and sports activities. The project is designed for 2 years starting from January 15, 2025. Main provisions:
- Assistance is provided in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias quarterly
- Maximum number of recipients – 100,000 persons per year
- Funds can only be used to pay for services of physical culture and sports facilities through non-cash settlement
- To receive assistance, it is necessary to submit an application through the Diia app and have a special bank account
Key mechanism features:
- The Ministry of Veterans is the project coordinator
- Funds are not taken into account when calculating aggregate income for social payments
- Funds not used during the quarter are returned to the budget
- Banking services for recipients are free of charge
- Funds are not subject to compulsory collection or seizure
