By the Decree, a change is made to the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine by removing I. Cherkaskyi from the NSDC membership. Structurally, the decree consists of two points: the first is about removing a person from the NSDC membership, the second is about entering into force on the day of publication. The decree amends the previous Decree dated March 29, 2024, No. 193/2024 ‘On the Composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine’ (which has already been amended twice in September and November 2024).
The key provision is the personnel change in the NSDC composition – the removal of a specific person. The decree is adopted on the basis of the fourth part of Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, which grants the President of Ukraine the power to form the personal composition of the NSDC.
