On Approval of Amendments to the Regulation on the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, the Procedure for Its Formation and Maintenance, Approved by the Order of the Prosecutor General dated 30.06.2020 No. 298 (as amended by the order dated 17.08.2023 No. 231)

This order amends the Regulations on the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (URPI) in connection with the adoption of the Law on Strengthening the Independence of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecution.

The main changes relate to:
• Clarifying the procedure for accessing the URPI for SAP employees and other law enforcement agencies
• Adding new categories of criminal proceedings, particularly regarding economic and investment activities
• Updating directories and classifiers used in the URPI
• Clarifying the procedure for entering information about arrested property and seized items

The most important provisions for practical application:
• The concept of criminal proceedings related to economic/investment activities has been defined
• A 24-hour period for entering information about arrested property has been established
• The list of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors has been updated
• The procedure for accounting for organized criminal groups has been clarified
