Instruction regulates the procedure for organizing the provision, accounting, and operation of weapons, ammunition, special means, and other equipment in the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine. Structurally, the instruction consists of 9 sections and 30 annexes, which detail: general provisions and terms; organization of weapons provision; procedures for transfer, acceptance, and movement; storage rules; procedures for assignment and issuance; accounting and reporting; control; categorization and destruction of unserviceable weapons. Key provisions of the instruction:
• Defines 5 categories for weapons and 3 categories for ammunition depending on technical condition
• Establishes the procedure for storing weapons in specially equipped rooms (WSR) with security alarm systems
• Regulates procedures for accounting, inventory, and reporting on weapons
• Determines the procedure for writing off and disposing of unserviceable weapons
• Establishes the responsibility of officials for the preservation and operation of weapons
