Road Safety Enforcement Directive (2024/3237)

The directive strengthens cross-border enforcement of traffic rules by:
– Adding new offenses including dangerous overtaking, wrong-way driving, and hit-and-run incidents
– Requiring standardized traffic offense notices with translations
– Mandating use of EUCARIS system for data exchange
– Creating an online portal for road safety information
– Prohibiting private enforcement by 2029

ODR Platform Discontinuation (2024/3228)

The regulation terminates the European Online Dispute Resolution platform with:
– Stop of new complaints by March 20, 2025
– Complete platform shutdown by July 20, 2025
– Mandatory data deletion
– Requirement to notify users with ongoing cases
– Removal of ODR references from other EU regulations

CBAM Registry Regulation (2024/3210)

Creates electronic system for carbon border adjustment with:
– Four portals: CBAM Declarants, National Authorities, Commission, and Operators
– Integration with EU customs systems
– 7-year data retention period
– Strict access management through EU authentication
– Application from December 31, 2024

EU-Greenland Fisheries Protocol (2025-2030)

Sets fishing conditions with:
– €17.3 million annual EU payment
– Detailed quotas for various fish species
– Requirements for vessel monitoring and reporting
– Observer programs and inspection procedures
– Technical specifications for different fishing activities

Maritime Emissions Monitoring (2024/3214)

Expands maritime emissions monitoring by:
– Including 31 types of offshore vessels
– Setting new CO2 emission factors for sustainable fuels
– Applying to vessels over 5,000 gross tonnage
– Implementation in 2024 for sustainable fuels and 2025 for offshore monitoring
