Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Defines the Procedure for Civilians to Declare Firearms and Ammunition Found During Martial Law

The document concerns rifled weapons up to 12.7 mm caliber and smooth-bore weapons up to 23 mm. The order is structurally composed of the main document and 4 annexes with the necessary document forms. The main text contains 21 points regulating all aspects of declaration – from filing an application to weapon seizure.

Key provisions:

• A person who finds a weapon must notify the police within 24 hours and transfer it for declaration

• For declaration, an application is submitted with documents and a photograph, and a personal and weapon verification is conducted

• Individuals under 21 years old, those with criminal records, and public order violators cannot declare weapons

• After declaration, a notification slip is issued, and data is entered into the IPNP system

• Within 90 days after the cancellation of martial law, the weapon must be surrendered to the police
