The Procedure defines the process of conducting initial general military training for Ukrainian citizens through teaching the subject ‘Defense of Ukraine’. Training is undergone by all citizens, regardless of gender, who are obtaining profile secondary education. The goal is to form primary general military knowledge, defensive consciousness, and understanding of the constitutional duty to protect the state.
The document consists of 17 points that regulate: training objectives and tasks, organizational issues, authorities of government bodies, requirements for teachers, material and technical support. Specific features of training in military lyceums and the possibility of creating special centers for subject study are separately highlighted.
