Resolution amends three normative acts related to geographical indications and determination of damage from Russian aggression. The main changes concern the Procedure for Determining Damage and Losses from the Russian Armed Aggression. A new type of loss has been added to the list – expenses for conservation of land plots contaminated with chemical substances as a result of military actions, as well as plots with military engineering and fortification structures. The resolution also excludes certain powers of the State Geocadaster regarding geographical indications – from the Service Regulations and from the list of administrative services it provides. The most important provisions for practical application are those related to expanding the list of losses from Russian aggression, as this allows including expenses for conservation of contaminated lands in the total amount of damages for further compensation.
