Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs introduces amendments to three regulatory legal acts governing the procedure for declaring, checking, storing, and handling firearms by civilian persons participating in the defense of Ukraine. Structurally, the order consists of three main blocks of changes: to the Procedure for Declaring Weapons, to the Procedure for Checking Surrendered Weapons, and to the Rules for Carrying Weapons by Civilian Persons. The changes are technical in nature and clarify the formulations of existing provisions. Key changes relate to: specifying the list of documents for weapon declaration (in particular, regarding a copy of the identity document); changing terminology concerning territorial communities; establishing terms in days instead of days; clarifying the procedure for storing and accounting for voluntarily surrendered weapons. Changes have also been made to the forms of documents attached to the Declaration Procedure.
