Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2995 of 29 November 2024 setting the filling trajectory with intermediary targets for 2025 for each Member State with underground gas storage facilities on its territory and directly interconnected to its market area

This Regulation establishes specific gas storage filling targets for EU Member States throughout 2025. It sets mandatory intermediate targets for February, May, July, and September, leading to a final target of 90% storage capacity by November 1, 2025. – A minimum EU-level target of around 30% by May 1, 2025, with recommendation to reach 45%
– Flexibility for Member States to deviate up to 5 percentage points below their targets while still being compliant
– Special considerations for Member States that supplied significant volumes (more than 15 TWh per year) to third countries
– Different targets for different countries based on their specific situations and technical capabilities
