This order amends the Rules for Carrying, Storing, and Transporting Firearms and Ammunition by Civilian Persons Participating in Repelling the Russian Armed Aggression. Structurally, the document contains 4 points of changes, which relate to technical corrections and two significant modifications. The first important change is clarification of the rules’ period of validity: instead of the ‘period of participation in repelling aggression’, a clear term ‘during the martial law period’ is established. The second change is specification of insurance liability requirements for weapon owners, linked to insurance class 13 according to the Law of Ukraine “On Insurance”. The key provisions for application are mandatory insurance of weapon owners’ liability and clear definition of the rules’ validity period during martial law. It is also important to note the technical correction regarding the change of reference to the appendix from the 4th to the 2nd.
