Single European Sky Framework

Consolidates three previous regulations into one comprehensive framework for air traffic management in Europe. Key elements include:

French Fishing Closures

Multiple regulations prohibiting French vessels from fishing in various areas due to quota exhaustion:
– Cod in Norwegian waters zones 1 and 2
– Saithe in Norwegian waters
– Common sole in areas 7h, 7j and 7k
– Herring in areas 6b and 6aN
All closures effective from July 26, 2024, with provisions for handling pre-closure catches.

Platform Work Directive

Establishes rules for digital labor platforms including:
– Legal presumption of employment relationship
– Regulation of algorithmic management systems
– Requirements for transparency in automated systems
– Mandatory human oversight
– Reporting obligations on worker conditions
Member States must implement by December 2026.

Emergency Market Procedures

Two major acts establishing emergency procedures for product conformity during market crises:
– Regulation amending 6 existing EU regulations for construction products, protective equipment and machinery
– Directive modifying 10 existing directives on equipment, electromagnetic compatibility and radio equipment
Both aim to enable faster market access for crisis-relevant goods while maintaining safety standards.

Internal Market Emergency Framework

Creates comprehensive crisis response system with:
– Emergency and Resilience Board for coordination
– Two emergency modes: vigilance and full emergency
– Rules for joint procurement and information sharing
– Restrictions on limiting free movement during crises
