Analysis of the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine No. 4028-IX dated October 29, 2024
Adoption of the Draft Law of Ukraine as a Basis
The Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a basis the Draft Law of Ukraine on Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine. This legislative proposal is aimed at clarifying the provisions governing the provision of social guarantees to individuals who are war veterans, as well as to the family members of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
Draft Law and Its Initiators
The Draft Law of Ukraine has been registered under number 11116. The initiative to create this draft law was put forward by Member of Parliament I.P. Nykorak along with other Members of Parliament of Ukraine. This indicates a collective approach to the development of legislative changes in the field of social protection for military personnel and their families.
Tasks of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Social Policy and the Protection of Veterans’ Rights has been tasked with refining the aforementioned draft law. This work must take into account the proposals and amendments from subjects of legislative initiative, as well as the suggestions outlined in the Committee’s conclusion dated May 28, 2024.
Procedure for Submission for Consideration
After refining the draft law, the Committee is to submit it for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the second reading. This is a separate stage of the consideration of legislative initiatives, which includes a detailed analysis and discussion of amendments and proposals to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the legislative act.
Signature and Official Registration
The Resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine R. Stefanchuk in the city of Kyiv on October 29, 2024, thereby granting it official force in accordance with the established procedures of legislative activity.
