This Law introduces systemic changes to numerous legislative acts of Ukraine to align them with the new Law ‘On Administrative Procedure’. The changes are aimed at unifying the procedures of interaction between citizens and businesses with government authorities.
Structurally, the law consists of two parts: the first contains amendments to specific legislative acts, the second defines the procedure for entry into force. Amendments are made to more than 50 laws of Ukraine, including basic laws on local self-government, citizens’ appeals, licensing, and others.
Key innovations include: standardization of terminology in accordance with the Law on Administrative Procedure; introduction of uniform principles and rules for administrative case consideration; establishing clear deadlines for decision-making by authorities; defining the procedure for appealing administrative acts. Special attention is paid to protecting citizens’ rights in relations with government authorities and ensuring transparency of administrative procedures.
