Thus, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine issued Order No. 22831 dated August 30, 2024, which amends the previously issued Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine No. 57 dated January 22, 2013, “On Departmental Incentive Awards of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.”
The main aim of this order is to update and align the names and provisions related to the departmental incentive awards of the Ministry of Economy with current legislation. The provisions of this order are detailed below:
1. Amendments to Order No. 57 dated 22.01.2013
Paragraph 1 of the order states the following amendments:
- Change of the name of the authority: in the title and paragraphs 1 and 2 of Order No. 57, the words “Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine” are replaced with “Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.” This reflects the change in the name of the ministry and aligns the documentation with the current state of affairs.
- New version of the preamble: the preamble of Order No. 57 is provided in a new version, referencing current regulatory legal acts, in particular, the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated May 30, 2012, No. 365, and the provisions on the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 20, 2014, No. 459, with relevant amendments.
- Change of the name of the subdivision: in paragraph 3 of Order No. 57, the words “Administrative and Economic Department” are replaced with “Department of Financial and Economic Activities.” This reflects the reorganization of the structural subdivisions of the ministry.
2. Amendments to the Regulation on Departmental Incentive Awards
The order approves a new version of the Regulation on Departmental Incentive Awards of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. This means that the previous regulation, approved by Order No. 57, is presented in a new version attached to the order.
3-5. Changes to the Descriptions of the Badge, Certificate, and Gratitude
The order makes amendments to the descriptions of departmental incentive awards:
- Badge “For Diligent Work”: in the title and text of the description, the words “Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine” are replaced with “Ministry of Economy of Ukraine” in the appropriate grammatical cases.
- Certificate of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine: similar changes are made to the title and text of the description of the Certificate. Furthermore, the first sentence of the third paragraph is rephrased to indicate that the Certificate is signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
- Gratitude of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine: changes are also made to the title and text of the description of the Gratitude, replacing the name of the ministry and specifying that the Gratitude is signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
6. Submission for State Registration
The Department of Human Resources is tasked with ensuring the submission of this order for state registration to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the established manner.
7. Entry into Force of the Order
The order takes effect from the day of its official publication.
8. Control over the Execution of the Order
The control over the execution of the order is assigned to the Acting Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
New Version of the Regulation on Departmental Incentive Awards
The approved new version of the Regulation details the procedure and conditions for awarding departmental incentive awards of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, which include:
- Badge “For Diligent Work”;
- Certificate of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine;
- Gratitude of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
The Regulation defines:
- General Provisions: the purpose and categories of persons eligible for awards are established. In particular, departmental awards are designated for employees of the Ministry, enterprises, institutions, and organizations that fall within the management sphere of the Ministry of Economy, as well as other employees in the sector.
- Procedure for Nomination for Awards: the procedure for nominating candidates for awards, requirements for submissions, and the process for making decisions about awarding are described.
- Procedure for Awarding Awards: the procedure and solemnity of the presentation of awards are established, indicating the individuals authorized to present them.
- Procedure for Wearing and Storing Awards: rules for wearing the badge, storing awards, and the procedure for recording entries in employment records and personal files of awardees are defined.
Appendices to the Regulation
Along with the Regulation, sketches of departmental incentive awards are attached:
- Sketch of the badge “For Diligent Work”;
- Sketch of the Certificate of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine;
- Sketch of the Gratitude of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
These sketches determine the external appearance of the respective awards.

Thus, by Order No. 22831 of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine dated August 30, 2024, the regulatory legal acts regarding departmental incentive awards of the Ministry have been updated and aligned with contemporary realities. This will facilitate the organization of the award process for employees, enhance the prestige of awards, and recognize the contributions of employees in the field of the economy of Ukraine.
