Matters of the Supervisory Board of the Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Defense Industry”

This directive of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine concerns personnel matters regarding the management of the strategic state-owned enterprise, JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry”. The document officially appoints Ivan Yuriiovych Havryliuk as a member of the company’s Supervisory Board as a representative of the state. The directive also authorizes the Director General of JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry”, Herman Volodymyrovych Smetanin, to sign the relevant civil-law contract with the newly appointed member of the Board.

The structure of the document is concise and consists of two key dispositive points. The first point records the personal appointment of a Supervisory Board member, and the second defines the person authorized to formalize contractual relations with him. As this is an order of individual action, it does not introduce systemic changes to legislation, but rather exercises the government’s powers as the body managing the state’s corporate rights.

The most important aspect for practical application is the legal formalization of the legitimacy of the state’s representation on the Supervisory Board of the defense giant. This decision ensures the continuity of corporate governance and compliance with requirements regarding the signing of civil-law agreements with members of the Supervisory Boards of state joint-stock companies. The document serves as the basis for entering the relevant information into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and for formalizing the legal relations between the company and the Supervisory Board member.
