This act of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 4, 2024, No. 948-r pertains to the redistribution of certain expenditures of the state budget allocated to the Ministry of Education and Science for the year 2024. According to paragraph eight of Article 23 of the Budget Code of Ukraine, the government carries out the redistribution of consumption expenditures within the total amount of budget appropriations.
Specific changes are as follows:
- Expenditures under program 2201260 — “National measures in the field of education” are reduced by 1,450 thousand hryvnias.
- Expenditures under program 2201120 — “Ensuring the activities of the National Center ‘Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine’, providing extracurricular education by state extracurricular education institutions, extracurricular activities, conducting nationwide and international Olympiads in the field of education” are increased by the same amount of 1,450 thousand hryvnias.
It is important to note that from this additional amount under program 2201120, a total of 1,450 thousand hryvnias is specifically allocated for payment of utility services and energy carriers.
Thus, the total budget of the Ministry of Education and Science for 2024 remains unchanged, but funds are redistributed among programs to ensure the effective use of resources.
Furthermore, the act obliges the Ministry of Finance to make the necessary amendments to the state budget distribution to reflect this redistribution of expenditures.
