[:uk]The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1134 on October 1, 2024, which amended paragraph 34 of the Procedure for the conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization in a special period.
The essence of the amendment lies in adjusting the deadlines for conscripts to report to military enlistment offices after receiving a summons. Previously, the stated paragraph defined that the date of arrival for the conscript “is determined no earlier than the fourteenth day” after the summons was served. This meant that conscripts were granted at least 14 days to appear.
According to the new version, the deadlines have been shortened and differentiated depending on the conscript’s place of residence:
– Conscripts from localities that are administrative centers of regions (i.e., from regional centers) must report within seven days from the moment the summons is served.
– Conscripts from other localities must report within ten days after receiving the summons.
Thus, the government has shortened the deadlines for conscripts, establishing tighter timeframes for residents of regional centers compared to those from other localities. This change is aimed at accelerating the mobilization processes and ensuring a more prompt staffing of the Armed Forces during a special period.[:]
