Ukraine recognizes the Convention as a legal basis for extradition and mutual legal assistance in criminal cases concerning offenses related to cultural property.<\/p>\n<p>The structure of the law is simple &#8211; it consists of two articles: the first contains the decision on ratification and a statement regarding the central authorities of Ukraine responsible for international cooperation, the second defines the procedure for entry into force.<\/p>\n<p>Key provisions:<br \/>\n&#8211; Three central authorities for international cooperation are identified: Ministry of Justice (judicial proceedings), Office of the Prosecutor General (pre-trial investigation), and NABU (cases within its jurisdiction)<br \/>\n&#8211; The law will enter into force simultaneously with the corresponding amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code, which are to be adopted separately<br \/>\n&#8211; The Convention will become effective for Ukraine three months after the deposit of the instrument of ratification<\/p>\n<p>The law provides for amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/go\/4261-20\"><strong>Full text by link<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This law ratifies the Council of Europe Convention on Offenses Related to Cultural Property of May 19, 2017.
