Order Amending Certain Regulatory Legal Acts in the Maritime Transport Sector to Implement the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language” and the Merchant Shipping Code of Ukraine. Structurally, the order consists of a preamble and 5 points in the main part, as well as an appendix with amendments to regulatory legal acts. The changes concern 5 different documents regulating the activities of seaports, pilotage services, and navigation rules. The main changes include:<\/p>\n

– Exclusion of the Russian language as the language for radio communications and communication in seaports;
\n– Deletion of all references to the Russian Black Sea Fleet and facilities that were leased to the Russian Federation;
\n– Updating provisions regarding the use of port infrastructure and water areas of Crimean ports (Sevastopol, Feodosia).<\/p>\n
