Law Amending the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, Introducing Electronic Veteran’s Certificate (e-Certificate) and Clarifying Terminology Regarding Injuries and Wounds<\/p>\n

The law structurally consists of two sections. The first section contains changes to terminology (replacing the wording “wounds, concussions, disabilities” with “injuries (wounds, concussions, disabilities)”) and a completely new version of Article 18, which regulates the procedure for issuing and using the veteran’s e-certificate. The second section contains final provisions.<\/p>\n

Key innovations:<\/p>\n

– Introduction of an electronic veteran’s certificate, which is automatically generated through the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services
\n– E-certificate contains a QR code and may include a digitized image of the owner’s face
\n– E-certificate and paper certificate have equal legal force
\n– A person can receive only one e-certificate, even if they are eligible for multiple statuses
\n– At the veteran’s request, paper certificates and badges may also be issued<\/p>\n
